Hypnosis For Fear of Water: How can Hypnotherapy Help?
Throughout my career as a hypnotherapist, I’ve helped many people overcome the fear of water. Some had significantly traumatizing experiences from their past that caused this fear while others had unexplained fear of water. Whether from past lives or this lifetime, fear of water can get in the way of many things.
Some people fear swimming because of this fear, while some people feel uncomfortable even when taking showers. Water is a natural element. Through the centuries, it’s been associated with healing, life, and flow. So how can something so natural trigger an alarming response for some people?
No matter how negative your reaction to water is, you don’t have to be stuck with it. Hypnotherapy can help uncover the root cause and overcome this fear once in for all.
What causes fear of water?
Unfortunately, there is no set cause for the fear of water but typically it’s a learned association due to a negative past event. This can be an experience such as observing someone drowning, feeling panic in the water, or being thrown in the water unexpectedly. Mysteriously, fear of water can also remain from your past lives. For example, dying due to drowning in a past life can lead to the fear of water.

Past life regression therapy can also be a helpful technique for some people. Especially if there are no memorized negative events or known causes, the answers may be in the past lives.
