What is the Difference Between Manifestation and Law of Attraction?

Recently, I started to pay attention to my conversations with my friends and realized that the word “manifesting” has become another word for “desiring”. Manifesting is a much stronger word with a deeper meaning behind it. In fact, It crosses into some parts of the law of attraction as well.

Law of attraction is also a fairly new term that re-entered into our lives with the book “The Secret” -If you haven’t read it yet, highly recommended for beginners! -.

Today, I find that many people get confused with the difference between the law of attraction and manifestation. People tend to use these two terms interchangeably. Are they the same? Do we create with manifesting or attracting? And does it matter?

What is manifestation?

Manifestation is about turning your desires into reality by aligning your energy, thoughts, and beliefs with what you truly want. The energy you radiate, your frequency, will attract similar energy therefore similar experiences back to you. It’s about aligning your heart with the new reality you’d like to attract.

Another part of manifesting is changing parts of you that don’t align with the reality you desire. The you in this reality is much different than the you in the reality you’d like to create. Manifesting also requires you to align these differences in order to move into your new future.

What is the law of attraction?

The Law of Attraction is the principle that thoughts, emotions, and beliefs shape the reality we experience. Have you heard of “Neurons that fire together, wire together”? Like attracts like—when we focus on positive energy, gratitude, and abundance, we draw those experiences into our lives.

The law of attraction simply suggests maintaining a high vibrational frequency and releasing limiting beliefs, so you can attract success, love, and prosperity into your life.

Is manifestation the same as the law of attraction?

Reading the previous two paragraphs, you can easily see how the two terms can easily get mixed up. They are similar but different at the same time.

To put the difference in simpler terms, manifesting is about aligning yourself, your energy, and frequency as a whole with the reality you desire. Similarly, the law of attraction also requires changing thoughts and thought patterns but is more focused on positive thinking and the use of imagination.

One requires harmony, while the other requires a change in perspective. If you can master one, you can master the other much easier. However, both are necessary in order to become the master creator of your life.

Manifesting and law of attraction are similar and different at the same time.

How to become the source?

When I think about the word source; God comes to my mind. He is the biggest and only source there is according to many people. Whether you believe in a religion or if you just call yourself spiritual, you are probably aware of your power as a creator in your own life. We are the main source of creating experiences in our lives.

Whether you like it or not, you’ve been the creator of your life. Most people create unwanted reality unconsciously. So how can you become a consciously powerful creator?

Un“learn” what you learned

We all learn and associate everything subconsciously as we grow up. We observe our parents, friends, society, and culture and make these associations for ourselves. Unfortunately, as we grow older, we come to find that most of the things we learn are either not true or not serving. Without unlearning these limiting beliefs, it will be almost impossible to attract the reality that you desire.

Imagine that you are 5 years old and you witnessed your dad physically abusing your mom pretty much your whole life. You learned that love is something painful and part of love is hurting each other. Fast forward to 35 years old, you’ve been stuck with horrible relationships all your life. You want to manifest a relationship that is loving and nurturing, someone who is good for you as a whole. Without reconditioning your past, it may be very difficult to attract the right relationship for yourself.

Distance from mind-numbing

Most people get stuck numbing their minds on a daily basis. Addictions, excessive social media usage, TV, and excessive shopping; all are just a few examples of numbing the mind and losing focus on desires and goals.

Being your own hero takes a lot of self-awareness and mental reconditioning. How can you become aware and awake, if you are constantly numbing yourself? Even if you find yourself overwhelmed with negative thoughts when you are not occupied, maybe it’s time to process whatever it is that’s blocking you create your desires!

Use your imagination

Imagination is one of the most powerful resources we have as humans. When we create something in our imagination multiple times, subconsciously, we prepare the brain to make that happen in real life.

Many athletes, Olympians, and creatives use the power of imagination to maximize their potential by practicing mental rehearsal daily.

When we repeat a potential multiple times in the mind, our subconscious mind starts taking it as reality. Once we make it happen in imagination, we take the first step to make it happen in “reality”.

Practice daily gratitude

Gratitude is an instant energy enhancer. Anytime I find my mind running a million miles, I take a breath and review the things I am grateful for. The frequency of gratitude is much higher than the frequency of negative thoughts, anxiety, or fears. When we are in gratitude, we elevate our mood, change our frequency, and shift the focus on something positively ours.

The frequency of gratitude is what we need to move from unconscious autopilot to conscious creation.

Start a self-hypnosis practice

Self-hypnosis is a very effective practice for increasing mindfulness, changing thought patterns, and reducing daily stress. With self-hypnosis, we can create mental clarity that allows us to be the creator. Plus, with self-hypnosis, we can start reconditioning the subconscious mind.
Self-hypnosis is simple yet very powerful to master the mind and discover your mental conditioning. It also allows you to unlearn any limiting beliefs.
